China Faces New India –A Paradigm Shift

The military Indo-Sino face-off in Ladakh is a worrisome factor as many believe that war is looming for many reasons. To reflect upon what is happening now, one should know the real history that they won’t teach in schools.

How does the slogan ‘Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai’ which was propagated by the then Prime Minster J.L. Nehru, become “Hindi-China bye-bye”?

To start with, I do not understand any comparison between India and China.

Hu Shih, an ambassador of the Republic of China to the USA said: “India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border.”

The Communists gained control of mainland China and established the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949. Communist country means it doesn’t believe in democracy, humanity, and transparency. India is a democratic country with freedom of speech and total transparency. India is the only country in the world that gives more facilities and perks to minorities than the majority. Hence a comparison is not possible.

India, under PM-ship of JL Nehru, established diplomatic relations with the PRC, the first non-communist nation to do so! What was the urgency, no one knows for sure?

JL Nehru was a great leader and visionary. But he was not an angel. No one was. And no one is. However, his China policy was a total failure. If someone accuses Nehru was committed to giving China our landmass bite by bite, we cannot deny it.

India has literally ‘donated’ Tibet to China. From the 7th century onward, when Buddhism was introduced by missionaries from India, Tibet was inclined to India, though it stood as an independent state between India China. India had some rights in Tibet – The British officially provided rights for India like Army posts, police picketing, etc.

Nehru didn’t do anything to maintain Tibet. What’s more, it was alleged that Nehru government-supplied rice for the invading China’s PLA troops in Tibet.

In 1954, Indian PM Nehru gave up age-old rights to station troops in Tibet, declaring his support to China.

Probably Nehru was chasing his dreams – as a magnanimous and generous world leader and a Nobel prize for peace! So, if someone says he was more interested in foreign affairs rather than strengthening the Indian border, it would be difficult to deny that.

Nehru has kept the “Foreign Ministry” under his arm. He had never appointed any foreign ministers. He was the foreign minister.

But he didn’t know or notice that China has been acquiring Indian land. After losing huge landmasses, Nehru signed the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, known as the Panchsheel Treaty. Immediately after that China published its country Map, demarking Indian land inside its territory.
Some leaders asked Nehru to protest it. But Nehru’s advisers said: “It is just a namesake drawing, China will change the map.” Who was his think tank? Congress was a mass movement and there was no think tank. Hence the intellectual activities on Congress were outsourced to Communists.

According to many historians, K.M. Panikkar, India’s ambassador to China, often acted like Mao’s envoy rather than India’s, invariably defending the Chinese acts of omission and commission.

Who was in the opposition then? Communist Party became the first leading opposition party in the Lok Sabha, while Nehru’s Congress was in power. History tells that Communist Marxists are China Bhakts.

Meanwhile, the US wanted to get India into the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) as a permanent member with veto power. Nehru backed China. Or the USSR ordered Nehru to do so. Nehru wanted to humour Mao. Probably he also wanted to send a silent message to the USA that “India didn’t approve your support to Pakistan”. And that “we go by non-alignment principles”, which indirectly means we support communist USSR.

Even during the 1962 Sino-Indian war, Indian communist leaders aired China’s view on the border issue.

While China attacked India without any provocation, the Indian army was in a state of chaos. Indian soldiers are historically the best and greatest in the world. Still, they faced a miserable failure? Why?

V. K. Krishna Menon, the then defense minister believed that China won’t attack India. He was a communist sympathizer. According to many, he was a China Bhakt in Congress disguise.

The Chief of Army Staff General KS Thimayya literally pleaded him to provide at least blankets to Indian soldiers in the Himalayas. Remember, Indian soldiers in the coldest territory were using just cotton clothes as uniform then! Menon didn’t oblige.

Thimmayya resigned. The Communist Party opposed Thimmayya “Court marshall him and kill him”. How could Thimmayya talk against China?

There was a relative of Nehru – Major Gen Brij Mohan Kaul – who had no battleground experience. People funnily say he was an ‘armchair general’ in some ‘paratha sabji’ regiment.

Nehru wanted to promote him as Lieutenant-General surpassing 12 seniors and out of turn promotion. Nehru promoted him during Thimmayya’s brief resignation.

1962 September China attacked India. On 20 September, Chinese troops threw grenades at Indian troops and a firefight October 2nd round.

The moment Kaul heard that China was attacking, the brave general ‘developed’ chest pain and got admitted to a hospital. Without any arms and ammunition, and not even woolen clothes Indian soldiers faced a shameful failure.

China occupied 38,000 sq km of Indian territory. China occupied Aksai Chin, the easternmost part of the union territory of Ladakh. China stopped war as there was no one to fight – and surprisingly it went back leaving some of India’s land that it had occupied!

Meanwhile, on 2 March 1963, Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 sq. km. of Indian territory in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. India didn’t do anything! What’s more, Pakistan donated a landmass, which was illegally occupied, to China, so that the latter can build a road and get access to Pakistan directly!

Later, Thimmayya’s place was given to TN Thapper – another relative of Nehru. Do you know who is General P.N. Thapar? He is the uncle of Marxist historian Romila Thapar and father of TV journalist Karan Thapar.

Yes, Nehru wanted peace! Result? China and Pakistan occupied much of India’s borderland.

Recently a Congress leader told me: “See, more soldiers are dying in the border now. During Sonia Gandhi’s regime, there were very few casualties.”

It is true. If you move your soldiers to ‘strategic locations’ in the name of peace, no one would die. But, if you want to protect territory and wanted to give tit-for-tat, soldiers may die.

Today’s India is NOT the India of the 1950s and 60s. The number of China bhakts also reduced.

And most importantly, I don’t think Narendra Modi is dreaming of a Nobel prize for peace like JL Nehru did. Modi is not an angel. No one was. No one Did it. Yes I would like to Stress on the Fact Coronavirus was created in Wuhan Lab to destroy the Human Race.So as an Analyst, since years I have been Propagating for Boycotting Chinese Products, Whether its Technology or Product, Chinese are Habitual Intruders, Better Safe than to be Sorry forever.Let this Diwali be A Hindustani Diwali full of Mithi ka Diyas not Lighting Chinese Candles, We found PPE kits to be Faulty when imported from China, Necessary is Mother of Inventions, now we have Started Manufacturing more than 3Lk ++ PPEs/ day, this is our Strength, we just have to Channelise our Local Resources & Map Skill Sets to make our Nation a Self-Reliant Economy by making ourselves GLOCAL,I.e., locally Manufacturing but making our Products Globally Competitive with our Factor Markets. This was the Prophetic call of our PM Modi making our Nation A Self Reliant Nation moving towards $5Trillion Economy, our Make In India Initiatives have made us to be Job creators, alongwith Self-Sustaining Goals, especially making Rural India more Competitive in terms of Inputs, Infrastructure, Mapping of Skillsets the classic Example of UP Government led by Mr.Yogi Adityanath of rising like a Phoenix to wipe the Tears of Migrants across India to his state, by Amending Labour Laws, as well as Settling them in the best Possible way & setting up of Migration Commission…India is a Positive Testimonial for Handling Coronavirus outbreak to Entire world. Now coming to India-China Talks which Sends it very clearly, regarding to LAC,to De-escalate the Situation as we know Infrastructure alongside of LAC has Grown, lack of Agreed Boundaries leads to such Face-Off,Beijing Respects Indias Military Strengths esp of Kargil.

Indian Delegation will definitely raise 5 Treaties.
My Point…Why & How China came into 3.5Km, we shouldn’t be bothered about Chinese Perception…China has Flouted its operations. Proof also shows Chinese troops from Galwan Valley. This is 2020, New India led by our PM Modi whose Leadership is very Dynamic & Firm, that National Sovereignty isn’t for Sale, we will apply crevices wherever & whenever its Possible. India has taken A Firm Stand, & Stares back.India will definitely ask China to Follow the Existing Framework of LAC Control.India is well equipped & manned with Paperwork of 5 Treaties signed by India-China, this is very Unprecedented.

I think this shows China’s Desperation to Explore Indian Territory which is very well aware of Aggressive Geo-Political Strategies of our Leadership, mind you all, this is not Nehruvian Foreign Policy…India will not Acceede an Inch on LAC, our Military is equipped so as our Leadership alongside fighting Global Pandemic..

Nation is more aware, moreover Indian Economy & Sentiments are now Globally bolder & Aggressive…so gone are those days of 1962, this is New India full of Constructive, Progressive, we have Muscle & Might Matching more than Chinese Diplomacy would have Expected. These talks will be very Fruitful. The chinese built up if it crosses the Limits will be Given a Befitting Rebuttal always.India will always Corner China on Relations…They better Mend ways, the entire world is against & Monitoring China very closely, this Intrustion will not work for China.

India is A Changed & A Robust Economy, & Nation very well Equipped Militarily too. This is Naya Bharat Nayee Umeed– moving towards becoming A Self Reliant Nation.
