2017 was a lack luster year for the Hindi film industry in general. Barring Tiger Zinda Hai, none of the movies managed to get a bumper opening at the Box Office. But, we have our hopes pinned on 2019 and hope it turns out to be a marvelous year for the Box Office and quality content.
Following are few movies we are looking forward to in the New Year:
This is one ambitious movie we all are waiting for. The real-life story of the Late music mogul will surely be an interesting watch. Moreover, it will be intriguing to know the details that went behind the much-publicized murder of Gulshan Kumar, planned and plotted by popular music-director Nadeem.
Akshay Kumar features yet again in our list. Seems like the Khiladi Kumar has taken it upon himself to make chartbusters that are not only entertaining but also have something to say. Padman chronicles the real-life story of India’s sanitary man who led the revolution for low-cost sanitary napkins from the front.
Yes, Dutt is quite easily one of the most controversial actors of our times. From his drug addiction to multiple wives to his involvement in the ’93 bomb blasts, Dutts story was waiting to be told on the big screen. Ranbir has metamorphized and bulked-up to step in the big shoes of Dutt-the character.
King Khan, lately, hasn’t had a good run at the box office but that might change with his ambitious project – Zero. After over a decade, an A-lister will be playing the role of a dwarf on the big screen. We do hope the movie exceeds expectations and sets the Box Office blazing.
The former Shiv Sena supremo’s story will certainly cause a few ripples. We, with bated breath, want to see what makes it or won’t make it on the big-screen. Nawazuddin has transformed himself, with the help of make-up, and looks the part. Our fingers crossed for this one!
