Baba giving sleepless nights to FMCG competitors!

Ramdev Baba is on a roll. Gone are the days when the Yoga-guru used to focus solely on practicing and teaching Yoga to the masses.

Since the past few months, Ramdev Baba’s Patanjali have given the big players of the FMCG industry sleepless nights. Patanjali has recently made its foray in to kids and adult diapers as well low-cost sanitary napkins.

To give a major boost to its products, Patanjali has now tied up with major e-tailers of India. In a bid to drive its sales, Patanjali has partnered with portals such as Flipkart and Amazon. In addition, Patanjali has also joined hands with Paytm, Shopclues, Grofers and Big Basket to reach the end consumer via the online channel as well.

Ramdev Baba’s ambitious venture has also ventured in to the field of solar equipment manufacturing. It is already present in the education and healthcare sector, as well.

The ayurvedic and herbal brand has witnessed a meteoric rise over the years as the company reported a turnover of Rs. 10,500 crores in 2016-17. As per Acharya Balkrishna, the turnover will be doubled by the end of this year.

In addition to the collaboration with online ecommerce platforms, Patnajali also plans to expand its online presence – patanjaliayurved.net via which the company sells its products online.
