It is common knowledge that the current Indian generation follows and imitates the west blindly. Right from attire to accent to movies and food; the Indian youth is in love with the west.
Hence it comes as a pleasant surprise when our Western Counterparts and youth are learning Indian culture and elements associated with it.
It is indeed a proud feeling to know that schools in Australia visit stores operated by Indians to get a first-hand account of Indian spices and their benefits.
In the picture, you can clearly see a bunch of young students accompanied by their teachers in a medium-sized supermarket. The picture has been shared with us by our Fearless Indian reader residing in Australia.
He happened to notice these excited bunch of kids chatting animatedly and taking notes as their teachers pointed out several Indian spices kept on the shelves.
Our reader overheard the teachers explaining several benefits of various herbs and spices. The students scribbled notes in real-time and kept asking questions repeatedly on Indian spices. As per our reader, the overall atmosphere was indeed euphoric and awe-inducing for an Indian residing in Australia.
In a time when we are trying to be more like our western counterparts, countries like Australia and the UK are trying to be more like us by learning our exercise routine (Yoga), medicine (Ayurveda) and food (spices and cuisine).
