To aggravate her fight against demonetisation, Mamata banerjee is not just pitching for a national government in the Centre, she is also trying to create a division in the BJP by encouraging internal feud. Recently, Mamata accused BJP of political vendetta as she stressed on the need for a national government in the Centre. She said, “In the current situation, a national government should be formed with another BJP person at the helm, could be any among Jaitleyji, Rajnathji or Advaniji. Modi has to go”.

Continuing her outburst against PM Modi, Mamata claimed that he had to step down. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently stood firm in her resolve and said that she will continue to speak against the decision even if her neck was on the line. Mamata also appealed to President Pranab Mukherjee to ‘save’ the nation by ‘setting up’ another government as the ruling dispensation is incapable of running the centre. He should step down. There should be a national government. I have never seen such a vindictive government at the Centre. They are breaking age-old institutions like the Planning Commission and others. They are breaking the backbone of the government”.

Speaking after the administration meeting, Mamata once again trained her guns on Narendra Modi for creating a financial and agrarian crisis in the nation. She has accused the Centre of using the CBI to target her party men as revenge for her aggressive campaign against the notes ban. The Trinamool Congress has also accused BJP member and Union Minister Babul Supriyo of not only involvement in the scam, but also “tricking” him into the fraud, a change reiterated by Paul’s wife Nandini.

Trinamool lawmakers Tapas Pal and Sudip Bandyopadhyay were arrested in quick succession recently in connection with the “Rose Valley scam” worth 15,000 crores, in which lakhs of small investors were tricked out of their money. Mamata said that Modi might slit her throat for being vocal, but she will not stop from criticising the Prime Minister. Her party will continue with the campaign against notebandi and she will visit a BJP ruled state soon to demonstrate against demonetisation.

Ms. Banerjee said she will urge President Pranab Mukherjee to help in the matter. “Only he can rescue the country. We feel he has a great role to play”. Well, it seems Ms. Banerjee is furious over the arrest of her party lawmakers in a ponzi scam.
