We have all read about US President Donald Trump’s hatred towards Muslim countries. The
deep-rooted hatred and fear stems from terrorist activities carried out by Middle-East Countries. Hence, it comes as no surprise the first step that the President took since coming to power was to work towards implementing a travel ban on flyers originating from Muslim countries.

As per Trump and Trump supporters, the people from these countries are responsible for carrying out nefarious activities in the world. They also emphasized that putting a travel-ban on these Muslim countries will ensure that America is not entrapped in to the clutches of terrorism.

Now, the US Supreme Court has allowed the revised ban implemented by President Donald Trump that disallows citizens from eight countries from flying to America. The lower courts of America are currently considering the legalities of the same and if such a ban can be even implemented.

According to the ban, residents flying in from the following countries will be barred in India.

  • Iran
  • Yemen
  • Chad
  • Somalia
  • Libya
  • Syria
  • North Korea
  • Certain groups from Venezuela

The travel-ban has obviously been met with opposition from the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The body is responsible for representing rights of Muslim citizens leaving in America.

They have even termed the ban as Muslim Ban 3.0. The ban is the third iteration from the Donald Trump Govt. and it has again irked Muslims the world-over.

Commenting on the ban, few officials have derided Trump’s negative attitude towards Muslim.

We would love to hear your views – Our Fearless Indian – readers on the same. Will banning travellers from Muslim countries will put an end to terrorist activities? Isn’t the ban an injustice towards Muslims who are not involved with any terrorist activities?
