Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat is all set to take oath as the CM of Uttarakhand . The Bhartiya Janta Party has wisely chosen him to hold this office after carefully analysing his capability and credentials. With a degree in journalism and a very healthy relationship with BJP President Amit Shah, this decision seems to be the right one. During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rawat was given responsibility of regional election in-charge in Uttar Pradesh under Shah, where the BJP emerged victorious. He was also overseeing the BJP’s affairs in Jharkhand and took the party to victory in the Assembly polls there.

With Corbett, Rishikesh and the Parvati valley of flowers being few of the most visited tourists destination in India, Uttarakhand becomes a very valuable state for India. Religious pilgrimages to Haridwar and Char Dham again make the state important.

The party achieved a victory that was historic, winning 57 of the 70 seats in the state. This hit a new high since it was the biggest win Uttarakhand has seen till date.  “I am grateful that the BJP legislature party has given me this responsibility. Ours will be a corruption-free government. Poverty eradication will be our top priority,” said Rawat.

He is known for his clean image. His name was mentioned in a “seed scam” but the court failed to prove him guilty. His former portfolio was agriculture where he was seen to have worked hard for the Special Agricultural Zones (SAZ) for Uttarakhand at the centre.

Looks like the state of Uttarakhand is in good hands!
