“Indian Army” – When we utter these two words, our heads get down with respect and gratitude to their sacrifice and nobility. From the icy terrain of Himalaya to the scorching heat of the desert, they guard us as their family all day and night without complaining. From the dawn of our independence, they keep us guarding from the intruders, terrorists and other external attacks. Since 1947, we have faced three major wars and in each case, even in the worst condition, we have snatched victory from enemies with the help of our powerful, devotional and extremely talented Indian Army.

The 3rd largest force in the world, Indian Army is not only about might but also about bringing pride to the nation. Earlier today, news that the Indian army did surgical attacks on Pakistan occupied Kashmir targeting terror launch pads have made citizens happy. The news was confirmed by Ministry of External Affairs and the Defence Ministry. Apart from defending the honour of our country from foreign powers, helping the government in settling internal disturbance, and helping civilians within the country during natural disasters, Indian Army is also known for extending help to neighbouring countries during natural and humanitarian crisis.

Today is the Kargil Vijay Divas, a day on which our great nation commemorates our victory in the Kargil War and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers who laid down their lives for their motherland. The Kargil War involved Indian and Pakistani forces and took place between May 26 and July 26 with the Indian armed forces successfully driving out the infiltrators and reoccupying Indian positions along the LOC.

We salute our Brave Hearts who did not think twice before putting their lives on the line for our country.
