Growing up from the city called Chennai, southern part of India, waking up to the footsteps of highly influential women was her morning motivation, reading to the headlines of national newspaper in the morning, reminded her to wake up with inspiration to do something in life.
Dr. Sukanya Iyer, was a bright student during school days. Her life was pretty normal like other kids that revolved mostly around friends, family and school. She was having strong desire to excel in studies or in any other field. Knowledge & right education is the power — that’s an attitude enlighten the characteristics of this economist, who is an example for various versatile leaders.
Sukanya Iyer, born to do more, to do great, and be different. She admired newspapers that collected from the market when the seller wrap on the goes that she bought. ‘I told myself I want to be that woman that can help many people’, she recalls.
A closer look to her life story and achievements can inspire every individual. Apart from working in education sector, Sukanya works as freelancer economist & doing great work for society. She is also into management students training, economics & personality development. The clouds of success almost touched Sukanya, when she completed PhD in International Economics from Washington DC during 1998.
She continued to mentor, and worked for print media as columnist for reputed B2B magazines to make her living with spirit. Not to deny, she had a great support from family members & friends.
“I took a journey of writing on social media. My write up inspired many, I received a lot of emails from people to tell me how I’m helping them, I also inspire a lot of youth, I live to be a great example for them, knowing education is the key I love to contributing in community work and also encouraging the youth to focus and do well in life. One of the key I have discovered so far is that if you don’t fight for yourself in life nobody will, you need to dedicate and inspire yourself each day of your life with things you see to be someone. I work hard on my own, being freelance blogger for Postcard News and Fearless Indian reputed platform”, Sukanya says.
Her life was pretty interesting, when she left the job and started her own mission to educate & help needy people during 2003, right from that decision she made unique benchmarks for upcoming leaders and economist. She woke up with learning desire, faith in God and an aim to excel in whatever she does. She started taking her passion quite seriously. Her courage has rewarded as she started seeing improvements in her life. Her interest towards ‘creating strong society’ started to improve. She started too contributing in public forums as a mentor. She was always focused on social work and believed that everyone should work hard to carve a niche for themselves and should build a platform for skilled people to become financially independent. This belief and courageous heart helped her in being a best economist & social leader right from the 23th year of her age.
‘Difficulties in a life, helped me to understand the importance of people in life. On the surface it all looks so smooth but I have gone through lot of sacrifices to achieve. Only my family members would know that Sukanya is very dedicated girl, who is bringing change in the society, Sukanya recalls.
Everyone faces insecurities and other challenges. Sukanya did too. But She wanted to redefine it, and encourage people to understand their hidden talent. “She always talks about the worth of Karma and education, and striking a balance between work and life,” to inspire others. Her knowledge & education is the key of excellence. She dedicate all achievements to her parents & she believes in Karma.
She signs off with the message-“Knowledge is just like ocean, we have to take deep dive into it while wearing ‘life jacket’ of education. You can achieve anything that you want in life if you have self-belief and faith in Almighty God. Nothing is impossible in life, be honest, be focused on aim. Do service without having any expectation. Help others as much as possible, stand for nation”.
