Four years ago, we made a tryst with destiny of our country, and now when the time has come we shall reiterate our pledge, wholly and in full measure, very much willingly.
I surely wrote this but cannot take full credit for it. It’s an ironic tale of two Prime Ministers of the largest democracy of world. The first and the very recent. Though the first line is an excerpt from the most famous speech in the history of Independent India, it is twisted for a purpose.
We were promised “Acche Din” a while ago and I do believe we are witnessing them. After a span of 3 decades, our country unanimously chose the leader we needed. It was beginning of something great.
We saw a major shift in power and even in personality. The persona of our Hon. Prime Minister exuberated vibrance and positivity. His leadership was fierce. He made India great, yet again. Our presence was felt in world politics. Over a billion people had found a voice.
He did a thorough internal clean-up. The demonetization was a revolutionary decision. It helped curb corruption and black money. He initiated schemes to develop skills, businesses, infrastructure and sanitation. He attracted Foreign Direct Investment while he carried out financial inclusion within the country.
The pathbreaking Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana enabled economically weaker sections to have basic savings bank account, access to need-based credit, remittances facility, insurance and pension.
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was a government backed life insurance scheme benefiting all Indians. Where people from age 18 to 50 could get a life cover of Rs.2,00,000/- for an annual premium of just Rs.330.
Like the previous governments, nobody from his cabinet was accused of scams or being corrupt. If this isn’t Ram Rajya, I don’t know what is. No matter how much chaos is caused, lack of a strong opposition can not be ignored.
So if all goes according to the master-plan, “फिर एक बार, मोदी सरकार।”
