There are individuals who want to leave the nation after finishing their studies for highly paid jobs abroad. While most of the youth’s sacrifice their dreams for getting into the IIT, here’s a story which will inspire us to always follow our hearts. 17-year-old Shivansh Joshi, not only aspired to join the National Defence Academy, Joshi ended up topping the entrance examination with a score of 97%. Earlier he had also cracked the IIT – JEE advanced and was guaranteed an IIT admission but for him serving the nation has always been the first priority.
From childhood, Joshi has been very clear in his mind about what he wanted to pursue in future. His parents were gleaming with pride that their son would be donning a uniform. Shivansh’s father Subhash Joshi is an executive with the Life Insurance Corporation of India while his mother is a school teacher. Shivansh says that he is much happy because his family supported his choice of NDA over it.
Joshi took admission in a college in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu to improve his English. According to Joshi, this was the best way to improve his English which later gave him a lot more confidence. While achieving his dreams, Joshi wants to follow the footsteps of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Army Chief Vipin Rawat, both of them who also hails from Uttarakhand. Joshi said he is looking forward to joining the NDA and began training to be army personnel at earliest.
Joshi realises that the road ahead is not easy. Even though Shivansh is a youngster himself, he is also keen that his younger sibling follows in his footsteps and prepares for the NDA exam. This is perhaps the first time when a youth from Uttarakhand state has topped the NDA entrance examination.
We are proud of you Shivansh Joshi and wish you all the best for the future!
