Mani Shankar Aiyar is at it again. The controversial former Petroleum Minister has made another remark which is sure to anger every Indian.

Mani Shankar is currently on a trip to Pakistan busy cosying up to Pakistan officials and journalists. He has already been suspended by his own Congress party for his demeaning remarks on the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, it seems that this punishment hasn’t really made any positive impact on the veteran Congress minister.

Mani Shankar Aiyar has raised up another storm by praising Pakistan over his own country folk. While speaking to the media, Mani Shankar Aiyar was quoted as saying, ‘Thousands of people who I don’t even know come and give me a hug. The live I’m getting in Pakistan, I get a lot more hatred in India. So, I am very happy to be here and meet you all.’

A day before this very statement, Mani Shankar Aiyar also praised Pakistani Govt. for accepting dialogue as a solution to resolving India-Pakistan issues. However, he also added that the Government back at home (India) had not considered this simple solution.

The statement coming closely on the heels of the recent spate of terrorist attacks in J&K is not only controversial but also hampering the efforts of the Govt. to escalate the pressure on the Pakistan Government.

Congress ministers distanced themselves from this remark and stated that these remarks are Aiyar’s and the Congress Party doesn’t support his views.
