A 33-year-old man was arrested on Monday by the Hyderabad police after he was discovered cultivating ganja in his flat in Manikonda.
As per an official statement, Syed Shahed Husain had learnt the method of cultivating the plant indoors from an online platform and on the exhortation of a Facebook companion. He was utilising 2 rooms to grow weed in the 3BHK flat.
The police raided his home, to discover 40 potted plants, that were kept under ultraviolet LED lights, in one of the rooms. 8.6 kgs of weed were seized from him.
The police said that Hussain, a former bank employee, had been doing this for three months.
Other than the lights to deliver fake warmth, and an air conditioner and a settled table fan to control temperature, Hussain likewise utilised phosphorous and potassium as supplements, while he utilised coco fibre substance, vegetation pellet, Aquasol, Aquadene and clay stones as a growing medium.
