The Budget session was kicked off with President Ramnath
Kovind addressing both houses of Parliament. The BJP-led NDA is presenting its
last Budget tomorrow, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections
Middle Class-Salaried persons can expect a few things from Union
Budget 2019 including perks for MSMEs and gift of new jobs
1. Perks for MSMEs: Budget can do Small Medium Enterprises
(SMEs) a big favour. The government was focused on MSMEs since the introduction
of GST. Finance Minister had recently said that MSME sector is the backbone of Indian
economy. He also mentioned that this sector leads the ongoing economical phase.
New set of guidelines for debt restructuring of MSMEs were issued by RBI. ICRA estimated
that loans up to Rs 10,000 crore to MSMEs will be disciplined. The budget can bring
perks for MSMEs.
2. New Jobs: Government has recently reiterated the will to create
new jobs. MSMEs generate employment that’s why focusing on MSMEs can create new
jobs. PM mentioned that positive measures are being taken for boosting
employment in India. Something which will create jobs furthermore.
3. Relief to Farmers: Though Finance Minister firmly believes
that farmer loan waiver is not a permanent solution, there are expectations
that it might just happen. Reducing insurance premium and income support are
other possibilities. The government is expected to take all measures possible
to win back the country’s farmers.
